Terms of Use

By creating an account, using the Service as a guest, or accessing any part of the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

Eili is an AI-powered biblical research and study tool. The Service provides features including AI-assisted Bible study conversations, community interaction (posting, commenting, sharing, and reacting), friend connections, content sharing, push notifications, bookmarking and organization tools, subscription management, and multi-device access.

This is an important section. Please read it carefully.

• Eili uses artificial intelligence to generate responses. AI-generated content is provided for informational and educational purposes only and does not constitute doctrinal authority, professional theological counsel, or pastoral advice.
• While we implement accuracy safeguards, AI responses may contain errors, including but not limited to: inaccurate verse quotations, incorrect original-language analysis, fabricated citations, or misapplication of hermeneutical principles.
• Users are encouraged to verify all Scripture quotations, historical claims, and theological interpretations against authoritative sources such as your own Bible, recognized commentaries, and trusted pastoral guidance.
• Eili is a study aid, not a replacement for personal Bible study, church community, or pastoral counsel.

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You may not share your account or allow others to access it, except through authorized Family/Share plan features.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

• Eili offers Free, Premium ($9.99/month), and Share ($19.99/month) tiers. Each tier provides different levels of access to features and device limits.
• Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe or Google Play and renew automatically unless canceled before the next billing cycle.
• You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. When switching plans, proration is calculated automatically — you only pay the difference for the remainder of your billing cycle.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to paid features until your subscription expires.
• Free trial eligibility is determined at our discretion. Trial periods, if offered, automatically convert to paid subscriptions unless canceled.
• Prices are subject to change with reasonable notice. Active subscribers will be notified before any pricing changes take effect on their account.

Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis. If you believe you were charged in error, or if you experience a significant service disruption, you may request a refund by contacting our support team within 14 days of the charge. We reserve the right to approve or deny refund requests at our discretion.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of any part of the Service
• Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate other users in the Community or through shared content
• Post or share content that is obscene, hateful, discriminatory, defamatory, or that promotes violence
• Impersonate another person, create fake accounts, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Service, scrape content, or manipulate community interactions
• Distribute spam, unsolicited promotions, or misleading content through posts, comments, or shared messages
• Circumvent device limits, subscription restrictions, or share login credentials with non-authorized users
• Upload malicious files, viruses, or any content designed to disrupt the Service or harm other users

Eili provides community features that allow users to post content, comment on posts, react to content, add friends, and share AI-generated responses. By using these features, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

• You retain ownership of original content you post, but grant Eili a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and store that content within the Service.
• You are solely responsible for the content you post, share, or comment. Content that violates our Community Guidelines or Acceptable Use policy may be removed without notice.
• Eili reserves the right to moderate, remove, or restrict any community content at our discretion to maintain a safe and respectful environment.
• Friend connections are mutual — both users must consent. You may remove a friend or block interactions at any time.
• Shared AI responses include the original Eili-generated content. Sharing does not imply endorsement by Eili of any accompanying user commentary.
• Reports submitted through the reporting system are reviewed by our moderation team. False or abusive reporting may result in action against the reporter's account.

All community interactions are subject to our Community Guidelines, which outline expected behavior, prohibited content, and the moderation process. By using community features, you agree to follow these guidelines.

• Treat all community members with respect and dignity, regardless of theological differences
• Do not post content that harasses, threatens, or discriminates against any individual or group
• Do not share false or misleading theological claims presented as established doctrine
• Report content that violates these guidelines rather than engaging in confrontation
• Violations may result in content removal, temporary suspension, or permanent account ban depending on severity

Community Guidelines: Community Guidelines

The Share Plan allows one account owner to extend their subscription to up to four additional members. Share Plan terms:

• The plan owner is responsible for managing members and is billed for the entire plan.
• Each member receives their own independent account with full access to all premium features.
• Members are invited via shareable link and must create their own account to join.
• The owner may remove members at any time. Removed members revert to the Free tier.
• Each person (owner and members) may use up to 3 devices simultaneously.
• Members must comply with all Terms of Use and Community Guidelines. The owner may be notified if a member's account is suspended.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described therein. Privacy Policy

• Chat conversations are stored to enable bookmarks, recaps, sharing, and continuity. You may delete individual conversations.
• Community posts, comments, and reactions are stored for as long as your account is active or until you delete them.
• Account data is retained for up to 90 days after account deletion to allow recovery, after which it is permanently removed.
• Anonymized, aggregated usage data may be retained indefinitely for analytics.

The Eili name, logo, design, and all proprietary technology are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. Bible text displayed in the app is sourced from public domain and licensed translations and remains the property of the respective rights holders.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EILI AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR SPIRITUAL RELIANCE ON AI-GENERATED CONTENT. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE. AI-GENERATED RESPONSES ARE NOT GUARANTEED TO BE THEOLOGICALLY ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and use Eili. If you are between 13 and 18, you represent that you have your parent's or legal guardian's permission to use the Service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has created an account, we will take steps to delete that account promptly.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top and, where practical, notify you via the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, including for violation of these Terms or Community Guidelines. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive (liability, IP, disclaimers) will remain in effect.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law in the jurisdiction where Eili operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if necessary, binding arbitration.
